Mission Statement

 

Straight N Arrow Counseling Service, LLC was established so individuals can explore their thoughts, feelings, worries, hopes, and dreams in a supportive and nurturing environment. We will work with you to develop coping skills to help you tap into your inner strength and motivation. SNA will help guide you on the path to your full potential.

 

Education and Experience

 

Rebecca Lewis, MA, LPC, CAADC, SST

 

Rebecca is currently a Licensed Professional Counselor, a Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor, and a Social Service Technician. She received a Bachelor’s Degree in Family Studies from Central Michigan University in 2003 and a Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling from the same institution in December 2006. While pursuing her degree, she interned at a substance abuse counseling agency. During her time at this agency she counseled court referred clients on an outpatient basis, conducted intake interviews, completed assessments, formulated treatment plans, and facilitated group counseling sessions. She also developed and implemented a variety of programs. She was also previously employed as an outpatient counselor at an agency that provides counseling and other services to opiate dependent individuals. In addition, she previously worked at a residential treatment facility as a substance abuse therapist. As a substance abuse therapist at this agency she counseled clients individually and facilitated groups and lectured about illicit drugs, self-esteem, nutrition, relapse prevention, communicable diseases, mental health, and maladaptive thought patterns. She opened Straight N Arrow Counseling Service, LLC in May of 2014.
